Ted Hayward
I work primarily in acrylics/watercolors on canvas or board. I have no formal art training, the natural world, in all its color and texture, is my tutor. I aspire to convey even a glimmer of the diversity I encounter in the everyday: the insignificant patch of nature passed by, unnoticed, during a commute to work.
I am pleased to announce that I now illustrate for Advocate Art. I am currently seeking representation in the US and Canada. |
Artwork has been commissioned by recording artist Andre Nobels, for the hit album “Soul Fever” (2004) and my work is featured on his new album "Welcome to The Main Event" (2010).
Recent accomplishments include winning accolades in the 2009 American Art Awards and the 2010 American Art Awards. My work can be seen in Art Buzz, The 2010 Collection and Art Buzz, The 2011 Collection. My work has also been featured in the recent editions of Best of Worldwide Mixed Media Volume I and Direct Art Magazine.
My work has been exhibited in galleries in the U.S. and Asia. Recent exhibitions include the Wildlife Artist of the Year show at the Mall Galleries in London and a group show at the Limner Gallery in Hudson, New York. I have also exhibited at the La Boheme Gallery in Denver, The Infusion Gallery in LA, the Leap of Faith Fine Art Gallery in Fort Collins, Colorado and the Nabi Gallery in New York City (as part of the NDRC Environmental Art Prize). I was a participating artist at Carpe Diem Volleyball in Grand Rapids, Michigan as part of Art Prize 2010.
